The plan was simple: from Greymead, where I was checking on my merchants, to Leptos. On the way, though, I saw a road I didn’t remember at all – so I turned off.

This is the road I turned onto. A paved path climbs the slope.

""

Along the way you can tell someone comes here – a fountain by the path. And a scorpion, which apparently lives here too.

""

""

Remains of archaeology by the road – unidentified fragments.

""

The paving leads straight into the rock.

""

Inside I had to dig through a few cave-ins – apparently nobody had come this way in a long time.

""

""

Light at the end of the tunnel.

""

And I’m at the top. Xanadu laid out before me – photos in every direction.

""

Right next to it, the settlement The Palace Of Eternal Night.

""

""

""

""

""

""

On the summit stands the village of Fallen, and in it the Darq Falls Memorial. The tents belong to Darqfallen.

""

An old troll wanders around below the monument.

""

""

From here on, just views.

""

""

""

There’s an orchard at the top, and animals lounging in the grass.

""

""

""

""

Through the spyglass. The red beam marks the spot where the next Rift will open.

""

""

""

""

""

One last look from the top.

""

The way back. From above you can see where the path runs.

""

And up there, at the very top, is where we were.

""

The entrance to the tunnel leading to Thule.

""

And through the tunnel towards Thule.
